School Is Out!

The year is done and these little ones could not be more proud of their achievements!

They have come a long ways from being born into poverty. Not only do they receive a basic education, but they also are provided with what very well may be their only nutritious healthy meal of the day. Additionally, they are taught basic hygiene like washing hands, brushing teeth, and given access to normal bathrooms. They live primarily in make-shift slums that move with the construction jobs their parents do, so concepts as the above would be completely foreign otherwise.

“In India, 50 children are born every minute. They have a 50 per cent chance of malnourishment as infants, and 5 per cent chance of dying before turning five.”
